HOW TO APPLY FOR A UK VISA?
6 Steps to completing your UK Visa Application:
Step 1 — Do you need a UK Visa?
Turkish citizens must get a visa to enter the UK. If you are not a Turkish citizen then you must review the 'UKBA' website to make sure whether you need a visa or not. If you need to get a UK visa, then follow the steps below. You may file your UK Visa application up to 3 months prior to your intended travel date at one of the WorldBridge Visa Application CentrEs. Please do not buy your flight tickets to England, or book your hotel before obtaining your UK Visa.
If you are not a Turkish citizen but living in Turkey with a residence permit, you may apply for A UK Visa in Turkey and your application will be processed as if you were a Turkish citizen. If you are not a Turkish citizen and do not have a Turkish residence permit, then you may still apply for a visitor visa to England; however you may experience some delays especially if your application has to be referred to the followings:
1. The UK mission located in the country issuing your passport;
2. The UK mission located in the country where you normally reside;
3. The Visa Application Centre that citizens of your country should apply at.
If you do not have a Turkish residence permit you must apply to the above listed offices for any long term (6 months and above) visa, including settlement visas and in such cases your application filed in Turkey will automatically be refused.
Step 2 — Read the information for the UK Visa category you wish to apply for
Review the requisites to determine the category that best matches your intended visit, and what is required for that visa category. Step 3 — Filling out the UK Visa Application Form
Based on your category, the correct visa form must be filled out for each applicant, including children. UKBA visa application forms are only available in English, and must be completed in English. If you do not understand English, you will need to find someone that speaks English in order to help you complete the form. Everything you state in your UK Visa Application form must be evidenced, and supported with documents; such documents must be accompanied by certified translations. This is crucial for your visa application to be honoured by the UKBA officers. You must personally apply and obtain your own visa. Third parties or other individuals cannot apply for your visa on your behalf, but they can complete your application form for you. However, you must sign the application form personally to show that the information given is true and accurate.
Step 4 — Make your appointment with one of the WorldBridge visa application centres in Turkey
You can make an appointment with any of the WorldBridge UK Visa Application Centres in Turkey by clicking WorldBridge Even though your appointment date and time will be e-mailed to you, we advise you to get a screen print once you complete your appointment process on this site. Please do not try to make an appointment at this site unless your application form is duly filled out, and your supporting documents are ready to be submitted together with their accompanying English translations.
Any applicant aged 5 and above, must have an individual appointment with WorldBridge, and personally visit the selected UK visa application centre.
Step 5 — Preparing supporting documents
A Xerox copy of each supporting document must be provided together with its original. If you choose not to include originals of your supporting documents together with your visa application, then you may experience some delays and in some cases your application may even be refused. If Xerox copies are not included together with their originals, the orinals might not be returned to you together with your visa applied passport. You are required to include English translations of all the non-English supporting documents so that they might be taken into consideration by the UKBA officers when assessing your UK entry clearance. These translations should be verified by an accredited translator with a date and signature.
Supporting Documents: Information about the documents required with your UK visa application is available at Requisite Documents for the UK Visa. The applicants are expected to provide as much evidence as possible to support their personal circumstances in order to satisfy the UKBA visa officer regarding their eligibility for the UK Entry Clearance; including but not limited to your employment, educational history, financial status, regular income, assets, visits made to other countries, and relatives living overseas. If your travel expenses are to be covered by somebody else, then the person sponsoring your visit must prove his/her financial means to enter into such commitment.
Photos: You are required to attach 1 recent (within the last 6 months) photo to your UK visa application form. This color photo must be:
· taken against a light grey or cream background;
· free from shadows and clearly visible;
· printed professionally;
· with dimensions of 45 mm high x 35 mm wide;
· be taken of the full head, without any covering unless worn for religious or medical reasons. The applicant should face forward, looking straight at the camera with a natural expression with the mouth closed (no grinning, frowning or raised eyebrows).

Step 6 — Visiting WorldBridge UK Visa Application centre for your appointment.
To access contact information, please click on WorldBridge Visa Application centres. You must personally appear at the WorldBridge Visa Application centre to give your biometric information and bring the followings with you:
· Your passport (with at least 1 back and forth blank page for the visa to be attached) as the details specified in your UK Visa application form, your former passports, if available and residence permit or refugee documents, if applies.
· Print-out of the on-line application form, filled out in English, a photo attached and duly signed.
· Your supporting documents.
WorldBridge UK Visa Application Centres
All UK Visa Applications delivered to the World Bridge VACs are first gathered at WorldBridge Istanbul and then forwarded with a special courier to the UK Consulate General in Istanbul for review and assessment by the UKBA officers serving at this location.
